This is Tiger. Tiger ended up in the CACC when his owner had to go into the hospital. Facing a stay of six weeks, Tiger's owner contacted the Safety Net program, which sent out an email seeking a foster home. Using money from the sale of This Bag products, and an email solicitation, we raised the money to have Tiger boarded at a low-cost facility on Staten Island.

After a two-week stay at This Bag headquarters (he had gotten kennel cough while in the city shelter, and couldn't go directly to be boarded) Tiger was driven to the kennel, where he awaits his dad.

Update: Tiger's home with his guardian!

This happy, healthy family of dogs AND cats needed a little help with food (their guardian is between jobs, and was having a tough time choosing between feeding himself or his beloved crew). Thanks to generous donations from individuals and pet stores (PS9 and NYC Pets- thank you!) I've been able to deliver top-notch nosh and litter for the cats, so dad could keep everyone together.

(and no, they weren't posed for this picture- they were found like this!)

This is Bentley. He was rescued by Deb, a friend of mine, from a high-volume NYC kill shelter. After his rescue, he was found to have an eye defect and epilepsy. yikes.

Two surgeries, a cat scan, and lots and lots of vet visits later, he's healthy and super sweet, and he's been adopted!

The amazing Chelle and co. at Cheeky Dog in Brooklyn (where you can buy TBSL bags) took great care of him for a couple of weeks when we couldn't find a foster home for him. TBSL funds helped with some of his expenses.

And here's Deb's new "project", rescued from certain death in Maryland. Her name is Red (for now) and as soon as she's been to the vet she'll be looking for a home...I'm helping with her supplies and finding her a foster home...
